The Beidou-based forestry pest monitoring and recording system can provide detailed and effective data for forest rangers by combining Beidou's positioning function. During daily patrols, forest rangers can report the situation in the forest area in real time through the terminal and quickly feedback on-site images once anomalies are found. The command center can carry out precise dispatching of forest rangers based on positioning to achieve efficient command.

More than 30,000 forest rangers in Guangdong Province are equipped with Beidou patrol handheld terminals to patrol mountains and forests. Their real-time positioning information and patrol track information can be viewed with one click and communicate with one click in the system. There are 634 forest fire risk monitoring stations locally, which can real-time monitor environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed in the forest, providing support for the prediction and forecast of forest fire risks.

Deep in Wanda Mountain, staff lead young volunteers to monitor tree pest situations. Using the Beidou patrol terminal, pest data is synchronized to the forestry bureau's command center. Since last year, Mishan, Heilongjiang, has implemented a forest and grassland fire prevention road construction project. Beidou wisdom is integrated into it, significantly improving the emergency response efficiency and the coverage and accuracy of patrol work, and building a three-dimensional fire prevention barrier for regional ecological security.
